Commemorating Waikato Rugby’s centenary

Waikato Rugby Union is the official governing body of rugby union in the Waikato area in the North Island of New Zealand.
Kukri Sports are proud to have been the official kit supplier for Waikato since 2009. As part of the deal we supply kit to all the Waikato age grade teams, FPC and Mitre 10 cup teams.
Having been founded in 1921 Waikato Rugby Union are currently celebrating their centenary year offering supporters the opportunity to be part of history by joining the ‘100 Club’. The offer includes their name being sublimated on the front of the players jersey for both the NPC and FPC teams for 2021/22.
As part of the commemoration Kukri have produced split jerseys to celebrate with Northland and Taranaki in the NPC and Counties Manukau in the FPC. This is as well as the design and manufacture of both the Waikato Legends and South African Buffalo teams’ kits that will be worn in the Waikato Draught Centennial game, which is a throwback to the club’s first game back in 1921

Both the Mitre 10 cup and Farrar Palmer cup sides won their respective championships for the 2021 season.
Kukri are also the official sportswear provider for the two current club champions in the men’s and women’s competitions, with both Hamilton Old Boys (Women’s Premiership) and Fraser Tech (Men’s Premiership) winning their respective club competitions.
